Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to any transaction or contact between yourself and Amerton Glaze Craze for the sale and purchase of items or experiences contained in your basket or purchased via email, phone or in person. The terms do not affect your statutory rights.

 

Note: ’experiences’ refers to classes, courses, pottery painting, workshops or any other activity organised by Amerton Glaze Craze.

General

To ensure the safety of our customers and staff we may be required to make changes to how our experiences are run. We are committed to being responsive and vigilant. We will continue to regularly monitor advice from Public Health England and the UK government and take the necessary action to help us all stay safe.

 

You must comply with all rules and regulations issued by us and please pay particular attention to any requirements as to dress or the wearing of protective equipment.

 

Disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour, language or threatening behaviour towards staff or other customers will result in you being asked to leave the studio. Any payments already made to Amerton Glaze Craze will not be reimbursed in this event.

Bookings and Payments 

All online bookings are subject to a non-refundable studio fee which is payable at the time of booking. This is a payment per person which covers the cost of your studio time, paints and glazes for your pieces. You will then pay for any individual items that you paint on the day in the studio. Prices are clearly marked underneath each piece. Payments for your pieces are then made after your session has ended. Payments can be made via card or cash.

Event bookings are subject to a deposit or ticket price payment as set out on the Amerton Glaze Craze website. Cost of the ticket price will vary from event to event. 

 

Online payment is by card only. All card payments made online or over telephone are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, your order will not be accepted, and Amerton Glaze Craze will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

The terms of Amerton Glaze Craze price list and these terms and conditions constitute the terms of the legally binding contract between you, the customer, and Amerton Glaze Craze.

 

Bookings are for a specific start, finish, and time duration. If you do not attend on a punctual basis, we cannot guarantee that you will receive your full experience.

 

We do not offer provisional bookings; all bookings must be confirmed by payment otherwise we cannot guarantee that your booking will go ahead. If your date of choice is fully booked, you will be offered the next available date.

Age Restrictions

Although pottery painting is suitable for all age groups, children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times whilst in the studio or whilst attending events organised by Amerton Glaze Craze at other venues.​​

Cancellations

Our cancellation policy is designed to give customers the freedom to amend an event booking without penalty when enough notice is given, but we have some conditions around short notice cancellations which have an impact on other customers and our business. We will always try to help where possible within the limits of our business. Please read our terms of cancellation carefully.

 

All cancellation requests for any events must be sent in writing by email to amertonglazecraze@gmail.com. If you have not received an email confirmation within 5 working days, please contact us again. Unless you have received a written acknowledgement from us that we have received your request, you cannot consider your booking cancelled.

 

You may request a change of dates up to 24 hours prior to your painting booking and we will happily transfer your event to another date within a 3 month period, subject to availability without cost. For any cancellations made within 24 hours of the start date/time, payments are non-refundable.

For party bookings and pre-booked event cancellations, you may request a change of dates up to 14 days prior to your booking and we will happily transfer your event to another date within a 3 month period, subject to availability without cost. For any cancellations made within 14 days of the start date/time, payments or deposits are non-refundable.

If a person who is booked in for an experience fails to attend for any reason, they will not be entitled to a refund or a re-booking.

Vouchers

Vouchers are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase and cannot be redeemed after the expiry date.

 

E-vouchers are provided free of charge to the email address provided at point of purchase. There are additional costs associated with a postal voucher. Such costs are added and shall be paid at the point of purchase. Please allow up to 7 days for delivery of a postal gift voucher.

 

Experiences must be booked in advance to guarantee a space, and the voucher must be produced when attending. 

 

Vouchers are non-refundable other than within the 14-day cancellation period as per the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. No change or credit will be given should the voucher value exceed the total cost of the experience – for example where a £100 voucher is used to purchase a £95 experience. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Lost, stolen, or destroyed gift vouchers will not be exchanged or refunded.

 

Vouchers can be used for part or full payment of any experience or to purchase products from Amerton Glaze Craze. If the cost exceeds the amount of the gift voucher, the balance must be paid in full via cash or card after the painting session has ended. 

 

Bookings made using vouchers are subject to the cancellation policy above. However, vouchers must be redeemed within the expiry date stated.

Cancellations by Amerton Glaze Craze

Amerton Glaze Craze will be entitled to cancel any booking at any time subject to the repayment of any deposit or fees received for the booking that has been cancelled.

 

In the unlikely event of cancellation of a booking by ourselves for reasons not defined in Force Majeure, we undertake to offer a suitable transfer to an alternative date, or a full refund (within 7 days) of the cost of the booking. We cannot be held liable for any third-party costs, such as travel bookings or accommodation.

Force Majeure 

If Amerton Glaze Craze is forced to close due to circumstances outside our control (including but not limited to a pandemic, epidemic, or adverse weather conditions), customers will be offered a voucher to the value of the booking that had to be cancelled. This will be valid for 12 months from the date that original experience was due to take place.

 

It is essential to book in advance for any future experiences.

Validity 

By booking or taking part in an experience or event or ordering a product from Amerton Glaze Craze you accept these terms and conditions. The terms and conditions are subject to change at any time, and it is your responsibility to check these terms and conditions before placing an order or prior to requesting a cancellation in case there are any changes.

Your Undertakings and Warranties 

You warrant that the information given on your order is complete and accurate.

Acknowledgement 

When you have completed your online booking form/ticket order, you will be sent an e-mail confirmation. It will state the experience, event or product that has been ordered, the total cost of the studio fee or ticket price paid, together with your details.  You must check that the details on this confirmatory e-mail are correct as soon as possible and we recommend that you keep this for your records.

Damaged Products or Incorrect Deliveries 

All pottery must be stored in appropriate conditions; if you do not store them in appropriate conditions, we cannot be held responsible for faults or problems that arise as a result. We do not recommend cleaning handmade or hand painted items in a dishwasher. We also do not recommend use in a microwave. Please also note, we cannot guarantee that hand painted pottery will be frost proof, and recommend that any outdoor items are stored inside during the winter. Any claim by you in respect of any damaged or incorrect deliveries, must be notified to us as soon as possible. In some cases, Amerton Glaze Craze may require you to return incorrect deliveries for which we will pay postage and ensure the delivery of correct pottery but will have no further liability to you.

 

If you do not notify Amerton Glaze Craze accordingly, Amerton Glaze Craze shall have no liability for any damage or incorrect deliveries.

 

Amerton Glaze Craze shall have no liability to the customer for any failure to deliver pottery or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control.

Collection of Pottery

Your glazed pots will be ready to collect from us after approximately 2 weeks. This time frame may alter slightly during busy periods, but we will notify you of this upon purchase of the goods. Once your items are ready to collect Amerton Glaze Craze will notify you via text message or phone call. If you have not heard from us within 4 weeks after your experience, please get in touch. You will then have up to 3 months to collect your pieces from the studio, or request postage of your items. After this time if your items remain uncollected, Amerton Glaze Craze withholds the right to destroy them. Amerton Glaze Craze will attempt to contact you regularly after your experience to remind you about your uncollected pieces before they are destroyed.

Please note: You must check that the number you give on competition of your experience is correct to ensure that we are able to contact you about your collection. 

Data Protection

How we use your data:

 

Amerton Glaze Craze will never make your personal details available to third parties. 

We will only retain details for as long as they are useful for Amerton Glaze Craze to contact you.

We will keep a record of your address details with the intention only of posting your pottery onto you following your order.

No credit or debit card information will be held by Amerton Glaze Craze.

Information you enter into our booking systems may be collected and stored by us so that we may contact you in relation to your booking.
